Step Welding Technology – Successive Linear Welding System
The growing demand for mechanical strength often requires wider weld seams. To meet this challenge without multiplying equipment, DOREY and its partner MITEC-T have introduced an automated micrometric displacement system for the MITEC-T 500 range.
Technical Concept
- The front electronic system (for precision control)
- A motorized lower front table
- Pneumatic material holding
Through a combined holding cycle, the system generates a linear movement of 8 mm. This operation can be repeated in cascade to increase the contact surface evenly.
Operational Benefits
- Welding versatility: Using a standard 10 mm electrode, you can now create seams of 40 mm or more, flat hems, or reinforced joints according to your specific needs.
- Material preservation: Unlike massive heating, multiple impulse points allow controlled fusion and limit the risk of thermal deformation on large surfaces.
- Maximized profitability: A single tool (one electrode) can cover an infinite number of weld widths, reducing consumable costs and changeover times.
- Millimetric precision: Movement is electrically controlled and fully automatic, ensuring perfect overlap between each press cycle.
