Cutting prepreg materials

A pre-impregnated fabric is a semi-finished product whose fibers are already impregnated with resin in the right proportions. This constant ratio between matrix and fibers is an essential condition for obtaining reproducible results.

When it comes to cutting prepreg materials, you always have to take into account not only the type of fibers and resins used, but also the processes, volumes, production times and areas of application. Not all cutting technologies are equally suitable for all materials, and each fabric must be carefully evaluated. Choosing the most appropriate technology will have an impact on the precision and overall quality of the parts produced.

Plug & Play

Our cutting machine is equipped with double hubs and can accommodate up to two tools at the same time, in addition to the marker, laser pointer and two punching tools.

The big advantage is rapid tool replacement: you can change the tool in just a few steps, in less than a minute.

If the customer decides to expand his product range and cut new materials, or simply to start cutting with a new technology, simply purchase the desired tool and make the change. The solution in just a few simple steps.

Safety systems

The SM-332-TA features an advanced safety system designed to ensure operator safety, with radar sensors on the deck and cutting head.

When an obstacle is detected, the machine automatically stops at a preset safety distance of 500 mm (radar on the head) or 800 mm (radar on the deck).
